One Piece Water Battle

Of course you can’t spend summer without having at least one water gun fight! Join the Straw Hat pirates in their quest to gain the hidden treasure and get in a few soaks while you’re at it.

Pick up your weapon of choice and help Luffy defeat the enemies! Be sure to pack an extra set of clothes because you can get pretty wet.

Period: 6th July to 2nd September 2018

Venue: Near the entrance of WaterWorld

Timing: Check out the daily soak sessions at the guest services centre!

Sanji’s Pirates Restaurant

You’ll definitely be starving after all that battling and there’s no better place to feel like a Straw Hat pirate than refuelling on some food by Sanji. For the uninitiated, Sanji is the Straw Hat Pirates’ cook and this themed restaurant is one of the most popular dining options as from previous years. Enjoy some delicious french cuisine as you bask in the hospitality of Sanji!

Period: 1st June to 30th September*

Opening hours: Restaurant opens 5 times a day and requires advanced seat reservations

*Do note that the restaurant is NOT open from 4th to 7th, 11th to 14th, 18th to 21st and 25th to 28th of June.

Minion Freeze Ray Sliders

Our favorite friendly little yellow friends couldn’t stand the summer heat so they stole Gru’s freeze ray gun and the next thing we knew, the entire pool at the Minion Park is frozen! If you too can’t stand the summer heat, be sure to head over to the new ice rink. Hop into the ice making machine vehicles and slide your way around the rink to free up the other frozen minions!

Scariest-Ever Universal Studios Japan Halloween Specials 2017 REVEALED

Be part of the scariest-ever event in USJ history

Scare-addicts – this is the event of the year you’ve been waiting for.

Gear up for one of the region’s most-anticipated Halloween event as Universal Studios Japan’s (USJ) unleashes its SCARIEST-EVER Halloween Horror Night!

The park pulls out all the stops for this year’s Halloween Horror Night with crowd favourites and all-new bone chilling attractions bound to unnerve even the most stoic visitor.

With the Halloween Horror Night Express Pass now available for sale, here’s what you need to know for an epic Halloween night out at USJ.

1. How to use the Universal Studios Japan Halloween Express Pass

USJ-Halloween-Main-Image

There are three different types of tickets available at Universal Studios Japan, namely:

  1. Entry Ticket
  2. Express Pass
  3. Halloween Express Pass

Here’s where things might get complicated, so we’ve broken it down for you into these few need-to-knows.

1.1 The Halloween Express Pass is not a USJ entry ticket

The Horror Night Express Pass is an add-on pass that gives you fast-track access to the special Halloween attractions at USJ. The USJ entry ticket is not included in the Halloween Express Pass and will have to be purchased separately.

If you would like to enjoy the benefits of the Halloween Express Pass, you will need to have both a USJ entry ticket and Halloween Express Pass on the day of your visit.

Klook me to Universal Studios Japan!

1.2 “Trauma 3: The Terrible Prison Lab” is a ticketed attraction

A regular USJ entry ticket will give you access to all of the Halloween attractions except Trauma 3: The Terrible Prison Lab.

Trauma 3 is a ticketed attraction and requires a separate ticket for entry (see “Trauma 3: The Terrible Prison Lab Admission Ticket”).

There are two ways to visit Trauma 3: you can either purchase a Trauma 3 admission ticket or a Horror Night Express Pass 5 – Trauma that gives you fast-track access to the attraction on top of other selected Horror Night attractions.

Klook me to Trauma 3!

1.3 Attraction timings may overlap when used with the regular USJ Express Pass

If you’re planning to purchase a regular USJ Express Pass and Halloween Express Pass, do note timings may overlap and you will have to choose one attraction over the other.

1.4 Prices vary according to date of visit

The Halloween Express Passes are only available from 8 September to 5 November 2017. Prices vary every day according to the park’s official terms and conditions, so be sure to select a specific date and package for accurate ticket prices.

Unlike the open-dated USJ entry tickets available on Klook, Halloween Express Passes are fixed date entry only and cannot be changed.

1.5 You need a printed copy of your Halloween Express Pass to use it

After purchasing your Halloween Express Pass on Klook, do be sure to print it out and bring it along with you. You can use the printed voucher directly at the relevant attractions.

You do not need to print out your USJ entry ticket. Simply scan the QR code on your Klook mobile e-voucher at the park entry turnstiles for admission.

Klook me a Halloween Express Pass!

2. Horror Night Highlights

This year’s USJ Halloween Horror Night program line-up is unique in that some of the Haunted Houses start from as early as 12 noon.

The program also promises to be so terrifying they’ve implemented age restrictions on some of the attractions, so do take note especially if you’re planning to visit with young children!

2.1 Street Zombies

USJ-Halloween-Street-Zombies

USJ is going all out this year with their street zombies and the promise that you’ll be attacked by 20 different types of the living dead – the widest variety in park history! Look out for some zombie entertainment as well in the form of the Zombie Mob.

Some new zombie varieties will only appear on rainy days, so there’s something to look forward to even if the weather seems a little threatening!

Gyro drop at Universal Studios Japan

And now, welcome day two with a bang by spending your day at Universal Studios Japan! USJ has undoubtedly always been the biggest attraction in Osaka and today, it is home to a handful of parks and rides that cater to both the daredevils and the faint hearted.

Pro Tip: USJ actually regulates entry to the Wizarding World Of Harry Potter during peak periods, so purchasing a USJ VIP wristband is a fantastic way to skip the queue and enjoy a hassle-free visit.

Animal sculptures at Tennoji Park

When you’re done with breakfast, take a 20-minute train ride from Nakanoshima Station to Tennoji Station and you’ll arrive at the Tennoji Park, Osaka’s only park that has a zoological park and art museum in one. You’ll be greeted with the different (and almost bizarre) animal structures located around the park, obviously directing you to the Tennoji Zoo nearby.

There is also the art museum, lake and traditional garden in the park that have all seen the likes of cherry blossom lovers during the season. But not to worry, the park is equally beautiful during Autumn with golden hued landscapes all around, so don’t forget to take plenty of pictures!

The best part? You can have a go at feeding the animals here! Simply purchase a packet of food from the vendors and you’re good to go. The animals here are relatively friendly, so don’t worry, they won’t bite!

The Pablo store in Dotonbori features an eat-in area unlike the one in Himeji, so you can sit comfortably amidst the cosy ambience of the cafe while savouring the very delicious yet healthy cheese tart. Takeouts are also available so the ones at home aren’t missing out!
